Having no choice, Sora must restore his memories. Otherwise, he'll forget his friends, his childhood and past. The promise he made, one that touched Namine, said that he'll forget her, but if he tries hard enough he'll remember her someday. And when they meet again, he promises to thank Namine. Together with Donald and Goofy, Sora said good-bye to Namine and prepare to sleep for 1 year to restore his memories.... Kingdom Hearts 2 takes place one year/or immediately after Chain of Memories, when Sora wakes up to continue his journey...

Roxas woke up from a very weird and eerie dream. Wondering who that 'boy' was, he continued his daily life with his friends. He would skate down the town, meet up with his rivals, and play a little 'ball' game with a man named Setzer. But little did he knew, that the 'boy' in his dream was part of him... part of him that escaped away... And who is this Namine that he keeps on seeing? And what is this Organization? And last but not least, what are these weird shadow formations, and their counterparts called nobodies? Roxas was completely unaware that his dream did MEAN something... something that is undeniable.

Theories

I've read, from some random people, that there was going to be a Kingdom Hearts 3 movie. Based on the Kingdom Key. And war. Or something like that. Well, once I've looked in to that more, I'll give out more information. Ooh! Kingdom Hearts 3 is called Kingdom Hearts 3: The Keyblade War.

Kingdom Hearts 3 Movie

A movie was apparently planned, but so far nothing has come up except for the initial news. The film will follow the relatively simple story as portrayed in the original game. Disney will be working on the project alone, opting not to use the expertise available from former Square Pictures staff. The movie is slated for release at some point next year.

Kingdom Hearts to become an anime?
Square Enix's Tetsuya Nomura (director of Final Fantasy VII Advent Children) says that a theatrical Kingdom Hearts anime could be in the works. After they base an animated film on a video game that has Disney characters in it, I sure hope they make a new video game based on that anime. This is getting way too post-modern. -- But! I don't think Kingdom Hearts will become an anime. A movie maybe, but not an anime.
